Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon fresh apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced into rounds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup, optional

Method

  1. Put everything in a pot and bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Don't let it boil.

  3. Ladle into mugs through a small strainer, with an orange round and a cinnamon stick in each.
